Free tennis block party on tap at Travers Park

SANDPOINT — Sandpoint Parks and Recreation is offering a fun and free Tennis Block Party on Saturday, June 2, at Travers Park.

City officials invite residents to come try their hand at a great life sport. Participants will enjoy fun games such as hit the target for prizes, ralleyball tennis and beat the pro, as well as gain playing tips, networking and lesson information for the summer.

Adults are encouraged to attend. If you don’t have a racket, loaner rackets and balls will be provided. No need to pre-register, just show up at the Travers Park tennis courts at the appropriate age specific time and get your game on.

• Ages 6 to 9 participate from 9-10 a.m.

• Ages 10 to 12 participate from 10-11 a.m.

• Ages 13 to 17 participate from 11 a.m. to noon.

• Ages 17 and up participate from noon to 1 p.m.
