Worked together or be kicked out of office

Tea party candidates were soundly defeated in the Republican primary in North Idaho. This in one of the most Republican states in the country. You can’t even get a Democrat elected as dog catcher in North Idaho.

Let this sound defeat be a message to all candidates that the majority of Americans do not endorse the agenda of the far right — no matter what right wing talk radio says. Let it also say that the vast majority of Americans have had it with government that doesn’t work because politicians have forgotten that they are also statesmen.

Politicians who can not listen to their opponents and find common ground to work upon will not be elected or re-elected.
