Sharks shine at Trick or Treat meet

MOSCOW — Payton Bokowy won a whopping 11 events and finished second in two others, and Emily Deitz was second in seven events and third in two others to lead the Sandpoint Sharks at the Trick or Treat swim meet on Saturday at the University of Idaho Swim Center.

Bokowy and Deitz teamed up with Ellie McCray and Logan Sanborn to win both the 200 free and 200 medley relays, as the Sharks took 20 swimmers to the meet in Moscow.

“Trick or Treat was a big success. Payton Bokowy and Emily Deitz went one and two for the High Point trophy,” said coach Mike Brosnahan. “Drops in time for every event for Deitz. Kayla Remsen also had great swims a time drops in every event, and Miles Luce and Kate Matlosz as well.”

Sarah Casey teamed with Remsen, Chandler Sanborn and Kate Bokowy to place 5th in the 200 free relay.

Other Sharks placing in the top five were Kate Bokowy (3rd in 100 IM), Miles Luce (5th in 50 fly), Matlosz (3rd in 50 breast and 50 free, 4th in 100 free, 100 breast, 50 fly), McCray (3rd in 100 fly, 4th in 200 free and 50 fly), Remsen (1st in 50 back, 3rd in 25 back), Chandler Sanborn (5th in 500 free), Logan Sanborn (4th in 500 free), Cassidy Story (2nd in 50 free, 4th in 50 breast) and Christian Story (4th in 200 free, 5th in 100 free and 50 fly).
