Wheeler's laws, are you protected?

| November 2, 2012 7:00 AM

Does Sheriff Daryl Wheeler “discriminate” in enforcement of Idaho laws?

After reporting several trespass violations, with no enforcement response, we were told in private meeting with Wheeler, Undersheriff Bussey and Lt. Lakewold, that no trespassing signs are not enforceable unless a “gate” is installed on our main entrance.

Idaho trespass statutes require no gates.

Wheeler’s “gate law” is selective enforcement, contradicting the original intent Idaho law.

Only “gated properties” are protected.

After numerous public record requests, Wheeler, refused to put his “gate law” in writing.

Wheeler says posted trespass signs can be ignored under “case law”, advised by Prosecutor Louis Marshall.

Wheeler claims Marshall told him to use “case law” and “gate” requirements as a “binding policy.”

Civil rights violations? Fourteenth Amendment U.S. Constitution? “Equal protection clause?”

Are some Bonner County animals more equal than others? Only Sheriff Wheeler and George Orwell know for sure!
