Republican Party ignores vets' needs
Since I was discharged from the Army in 1968, I have yet to see the GOP helping veterans, e.g., when in power the GOP fights increases in funding for the VA hospital system. The GOP has no problem sending our young men and women to war, but once they are beyond military service the GOP no longer has any use for ‘em and would prefer the veteran died so as not be a drain on the “system”.
The GOP likes to say they support the troops and veterans but their actions speak louder than words. When it comes to the veteran, the GOP is all talk and no action, unless that action is cutting veteran’s benefits.
The only time I see an increase in veteran benefits is when the Democrats are in power, so any veteran who votes GOP is simply shooting himself in the foot.
