Thunder teams in action
SANDPOINT — The Kootenai Thunder boys soccer lost 7-2 to the Oaks Classical Christian Academy recently, with goals coming from Patrick O’Shea and Ben Bristow in defeat. Keeper Taylor Jensen registered 17 saves in goal.
The Thunder followed that game with a 2-0 shutout over the Christian Center School Lions from Coeur d’Alene at the Great Northern Field. David Currie scored both goals, and with an assist by Jimmy Soderberg, and Jensen posted 11 saves in goal.
The Thunder then lost 3-2 to Pullman Christian School on Sept. 27 at Centennial Field in Sandpoint. Currie scored a goal, and O’Shea added another on an assist from Shayne Jensen. Taylor Jensen made 22 saves in defeat.
The Thunder are now 3-3 in Mountain Christian League play.
The Thunder girls volleyball team lost 25-13, 25-12, 20-25 and 25-23 to the Oaks Classical Christian Academy recently in the Spokane Valley. The Thunder then played Christian Center School from Coeur d’Alene, losing the first set 26-24, then rallying to win the match by taking the next three sets.
The Thunder girls downed North Idaho Christian School from Coeur d’Alene on Sept. 25 at Cocollala Lake Bible Camp, winning 21-25, 29-27, 25-8, 24-26 and 15-11.
The Thunder are now 5-3 in Mountain Christian League play.
