DSBA announces annual meeting
SANDPOINT — The Downtown Sandpoint Business Association is holding its annual meeting, “Whine and Cheese Party,” at Ivano’s Ristorante next week.
The meeting will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 5:30 p.m.
“The DSBA board of directors and staff is eager to hear comments, suggestions and questions from members that will help us to continually improve programs and vitalize downtown,” said Marcy Timblin, DSBA manager, “And there will be real wine and cheese.”
The program starts with mingling and appetizers courtesy of Ivano’s and DSBA. Ivano’s bar will be open for cocktails.
The DSBA board of directors and staff will be present for questions.
There will be prize drawings and information on proposed 2012-13 programs will be available.
The focus of the meeting will be presentations on two local topics. City Parks Director, Kim Woodruff and City Planning Director, Jeremy Grimm will speak on the proposed Local Option Tax with a question and answer session to follow. Kody Van Dyke, City Public Works Director will present the latest design concepts for the downtown streets design project and will answer questions.
The DSBA annual meeting is an opportunity for members and the public to learn about the programs and projects that the association has accomplished over the past year, as well as those in progress and proposed for the upcoming year.
The Downtown Sandpoint Business Association is a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization representing the businesses in downtown Sandpoint. The Downtown Sandpoint Business Association works in a cooperative effort with the community to enhance the economic vitality and aesthetic and cultural character of Sandpoint.
