Choice for president has become very clear

| October 28, 2012 7:00 AM

Obama took office in the midst of a terrible recession and has made steady progress in regaining jobs, saved the auto industry, and is now seeing improvements in the housing  and services sectors. He has reigned in Wall Street and rewards businesses who keep jobs from going overseas.

Bill Clinton left office with a surplus. By 2007, the deficit had reached $9 trillion thanks to George W. Bush’s tax cuts for the wealthy, and his two wars. Obama will use some of the billions from ending those wars to rebuild our roads and infrastructure, putting people to work.

In foreign affairs, he has strengthened our security by eliminating our enemy’s leaders, including bin Laden. Obama will continue to protect women’s rights and enforce anti-discrimination.

In these difficult times, we need a steady -handed leader to make the difficult and right choices.
