Broadsword unable to show respect

| October 30, 2012 7:00 AM

I was shocked to read that Joyce Broadsword — after squeaking through the primary election to win the Republican commissioner candidacy — is endorsing Jon Cantamessa, independent opponent of Republican Sheryl Nuxoll in District 7.

Cantamessa, initially an independent, then a long-time Democrat, now independent again, is on record as saying that he feels he can’t win if there’s a “D” behind his name!

Another recent example of Broadsword’s questionable judgment: In a public meeting this year with a group composed mostly of women, she responded to ordinary questions with unprofessional volatility. Ironically, this occurred while she was trying to make a case for her own election, proposing that women are far easier to get along with than men! Asked if she would make the same sexist claim to a group of men, Broadsword said “no.”

Broadsword lacks the ability to treat constituents with respect. We are writing in Cornel Rasor.
