Thunder volleyball team posts three game win streak

SANDPOINT — The Kootenai Thunder girls volleyball team won three consecutive matches recently, starting with a 25-13, 25-7, 25-3 win over House of the Lord Christian Academy from Oldtown.

The Thunder (11-6) went on to beat the 11-1 Logos Knights (11-1) in a five setter in Moscow 25-20, 14-25, 25-14, 12-25, 15-12, then followed it up with a 25-6, 25-11, 25-16 win over Pullman Christian School.

The Thunder then played the Oaks Academy Oaks from Spokane Valley at the Cocolalla Lake Bible Camp. The Thunder girls lost to the second-place Oaks 23-25, 25-9, 26-24 and 25-11. The Thunder were then swept by the Grace Academy Warriors in Coeur d’Alene, losing 26-24, 25-20 and 25-17. The Thunder finished 11-4 in Mountain Christian League play, good enough for fourth place overall.
