POST FALLS — Beth Lewis and Hannah Neumann each tallied 13 kills, leading a strong showing by Sandpoint in a sweep of Post Falls and Gonzaga Prep in a tri-match Wednesday night at Post Falls High School.

Sandpoint downed Post Falls 25-17, 25-22, 23-25 and 25-23 in the first match, then swept Gonzaga Prep 25-22, 25-13 and 25-16 in a strong showing against a Greater Spokane League opponent.

Neumann added 19 digs and three aces for the Bulldogs (2-2), who played more relaxed and at a higher level than in their first two losses of the season.

“It feels good to get the first wins under our belt,” said Bulldogs head coach Karen Alsager. “Hopefully we can build on that for the future matches.”

Kennedy Search finished with 58 set assists in the two matches, to go with three blocks and three aces, and Kelli Plaster added three aces on the night.

Sandpoint hosts Lakeland tonight at Les Rogers Court.
