RATHDRUM — Senior Meghan Pagano had a goal and two assists, and Emma Weme also found the back of the net, leading Sandpoint to a 4-0 blanking of Lakeland in 4A North girls soccer on Tuesday at Lakeland High School.

Sandpoint (4-2-2, 1-0 4A IEL) head coach Conor Baranski felt there were a lot of positives for his team, including the return of senior Whitney Reichold from a foot injury and the overall offensive execution.

“It was the best Meghan and Emma have worked together up top,” said Baranski. “I was also impressed with Heidi Skinner’s composure in front of the goal and Melissa Mione’s contributions in midfield.”

Skinner added her team-best third goal, and Brooke Obaitek scored on a penalty kick for the Bulldogs, who out-shot the Hawks 14-1 in a dominating display.

Sandpoint hosts Ferris on Thursday, the third Greater Spokane League opponent on the year for the Bulldogs.
