Bob's legacy carried on by community

The Gunter family wishes to thank the communities of Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry, Priest River and Coeur d’Alene for the outpouring of love and kindness after the passing of Bob Gunter.

Almost three months later, we still receive daily affirmation of the many ways in which he touched people’s lives through his writing and his friendships. Yes, we’ve lost a father and a grandfather (and a great-grandfather) who can’t be replaced. Bob was one of a kind, to be sure. But we have gained the deepening knowledge that one voice and one heart really can make a difference in this world. That is the legacy that Bob left behind. And it is being carried on by all the people he met and cared about.
