Toss out incumbents and clean house

| September 23, 2012 9:00 PM

One might naively consider there to be Washington legislators who place the welfare of our country ahead of party politics and reelection. Sure there is.

Each party claims the opposition’s president/vice president candidates are liars. I agree … they are.

Allow me to broaden the liar’s club to include all Democrat and Republican politicians in Washington, D.C., each of whom views the other as obstructionist. Both are dead on.

During a visit to a South African ostrich farm, my wife and I witnessed a race between two of these birds named Useless and Hopeless … fitting names, in my opinion, for the President and Congress. These 536 people have repeatedly accomplished next to nothing while enthusiastically overspending, yet we keep voting them back in. I don’t get it.

I firmly believe our best days are ahead. We are an exceptional country, and will remain so in spite of White House efforts to paint America as nothing more than ordinary at best.

I also have faith that we the people will one day wake from our partisan coma and throw the incumbent bums out. Nov. 6 would be nice.

God bless America and God bless our troops.
