Histrionic approach to gun control must end
I would like to thank Congress, the White House, and segments of the American public for their histrionic approach to “gun control.”
Their efforts have done more for employment and revenue in the firearms industry than legislation could ever do. It is impossible to purchase a firearm or ammunition because there is not much out there and the firearms industry is working 24/7 to keep up with demand. I would also like to thank Alecia Warren of the Hagadone News Network for her stellar series in the Daily Bee on “Gun Control in Idaho.”
To date, Ms. Warren cites but one source for statistics on gun violence, the Journal of the American Medical Association, ignoring any contrary findings. Given the depth of her research I’m certain she aspires to work for the Washington Post. Then there was the letter by Georgia York (March 19, Daily Bee) regarding open carry. Apparently she is uncomfortable with firearms worn openly in a small local Sandpoint market. I suggest Ms. York might feel safer in a town with more stringent “gun control,” maybe New York, Chicago, Detroit, or Los Angeles?
This is how it begins folks … and all I wanted to do was go plinking with my dad.
