Why does nothing meaningful happen?

Here are some questions that I believe really need answers. I would like to see the difference in what the left and conservative readers have to say.

Why, no matter which political party is in power nothing much meaningful ever seems to get done?

Why, do we continue to spend trillions of dollars buying oil from people who would like nothing better than to see our country irradiated?

Why would any congressmen vote for a multi-trillion-dollar piece of legislation that they didn’t even take time to read?

Why are there politicians who, a large portion of the media portray as truthful, while truthful others are totally berated, when covering major issues?

Why, after 200 years of being a free nation, would the U.S. even consider giving over our sovereignty to a corrupt bunch of losers like the United Nations?

Why are illegal people allowed to vote, without proper identification, when you can’t even check into a hotel without it?

Why should one man be allowed to determine our money supply and then allowed to flood the world with cheap dollars, which will, sooner or later, trigger hyperinflation?
