Distress over guns shows hypocrisy
In response to Georgia York’s letter (Daily Bee, March 19) titled, “Don’t take guns into stores”:
Let me see if I understand you correctly. You have absolutely no problem exercising your right to free speech (as evidenced by your letter to the editor) but the sight of someone else exercising the rights, guaranteed them by the U.S. Constitution causes you distress? And you think that their rights shouldn’t be allowed in Sandpoint?
I submit that your way of thinking is a far more dangerous threat to all freedom-loving Americans than the “great big guns” that those men were carrying. (They were probably only regular-sized guns anyway.)
Your train of thought, that your rights matter, but the rights of others shouldn’t be allowed, would be more suited to 1940s Germany than here in the United States of America.
Thank you for revealing your glaring hypocrisy.
