Gun support, purchase seem like job security

OK, let me try to understand this. Our county sheriff states his support for gun rights, let everyone have a gun. Next, he is telling us that his department needs to purchase, using taxpayer money, a quarter-million dollar armored vehicle to protect his personnel from the guns that he thinks we should all be able to have.

The more guns, the more shootings, the need for more equipment and police. Sounds like job security to me.
