Area residents deserve kudos for film work

Re: “Area Resident Works on Film” article in the Thursday, April 11, edition.

In last Thursday’s Bee it was good to read that the film by Director/Filmmaker Glenn Withrow, “The Mooring” has been released. Kudos to area resident Mike Jarzabek; well-deserved acknowledgement for one’s hard work out in the competitive marketplace is always an affirming accolade to receive.

While horror/thriller is not my normal entertainment genre of choice, I am going to rent”The Mooring” for two reasons:

A. On-location filming was done right down the road in St. Maries, Idaho!

B. Two other Sandpoint-ians also had a hand in the movie. Stephen Fredericks and Jacob Craner were contracted by the filmmaker to write, perform, produce a song that is used in the movie’s campfire scene.

So here’s a shout out to Stephen and Jacob as well: Way to go guys — keep on writin’ and rockin’!
