Obamacare hurting nation's seniors

| April 25, 2013 7:00 AM

How to go from happy to heartsick in a moment. Both my wife and I had appointments recently with our primary care doctor for necessary not critical reasons. We are in our 80s, on Medicare and we pay a supplement to cover almost all that Medicare doesn’t.

We had chosen a young internist for our doctor when he first started his practice in Sandpoint, our hope being he would be the last physician that we would ever need. I early recognized Obamacare as being a disaster for most Americans but I thought those knot heads in the administration would miss us in the coming train wreck. Well they didn’t hit us head on,  they rammed us full bore from behind. Our doctor tells us that he is giving up his private practice so we will need to find a new M.D.

He was sorry to tell us that other doctors in Sandpoint to his knowledge were not taking new Medicare patients.

I can’t use the language that I would prefer to use in this circumstance so try and understand how hard this hits old folks like us. It’s going to hit many others just as hard or harder. A doctor is a must for us. We have to have one if for nothing but renewing prescriptions.

In his zeal to be a do-gooder Obama has fastened a tourniquet around the neck of so many.

As always ignorance will out and the Obama Administration has proven themselves devoid of intelligent thought.
