Cops need to get off the main roads
I recently had a chainsaw stolen from my property. I went to the Bonner County Sheriff’s website to see if I could report it there. No luck but there was a link to CrimeReports.com.
After entering my address and doing an advanced search I’ve discovered there have six other thefts reported since June 14 within three miles of my home on Wrenco Loop. There have only been a couple of other thefts elsewhere west of Sandpoint.
I’m retired and home most of the time. I rarely see a patrol vehicle on the loop even though there are dozens of homes in this area.
I pay my taxes and I would like to see some of that money used to patrol the rural roads as well.
The thieves (and reckless drivers) get off the main highways — and so should the cops.
