Theft of old friend was unkind

You, who stole my locked bicycle off my front porch late Wednesday night, the bike is an old Trek, not worth very much.

It’s a bike that I’ve ridden about 20,000 miles on and had planned to ride another couple of thousand miles late summer and fall on the East Coast. It is a bike that is mocked by other long-distance riders for being so retro and inefficient, which is why I ride it.

How unkind of you to steal an old friend. No questions if it is mysteriously returned.
