Wireless connections dangerous to everyone

| August 18, 2013 7:00 AM

It has been brought to my attention that all the public schools in Sandpoint are exposing children to harmful electromagnetic fields throughout the entire school day, throughout the entire school year! Lake Pend Oreille School District opts to continue Wi-Fi by joining the state-funded Wi-Fi program at a time when other countries are recognizing electromagnetic illnesses and banning Wi-Fi in schools!

Children exposed to Wi-Fi in schools have developed symptoms of ill-health, particularly headaches, light-headedness, and palpitations. Their symptoms went away at weekends and during school holidays.

Meanwhile the telecommunications industry is operating with the assumption that there is no proof of harm. There are now scientific studies showing easily measurable changes in blood hormone levels related to radio-frequency signals that would explain many of the symptoms commonly claimed as being due to Wi-Fi exposure. Medical doctors in many countries are now developing tests to identify people who are being affected by electromagnetic fields. These developments mean that legal challenges for personal injury are becoming much more likely.

You can reduce your exposure and your child’s exposure to EMFs by replacing Wi-Fi with a hard-wired connection. (This does not slow down your Internet speed.)

By texting instead of talking with cell phones, setting cell phones on airplane mode when not in use, use a hard-wired phone, not a mobile phone at home, and clearing the bedroom of electrical devices. If using baby monitors, they should be sound activated to reduce exposure to EMFs.

I highly encourage parents to contact your child’s school. Should Sandpoint schools opt for Wi-Fi for educational convenience or take precautions to protect your child by removing Wi-Fi and installing wired Ethernet connections?
