Where have all the real leaders gone?
Let’s see, we have Benghazi, “Fast & Furious”, IRS shenanigans, NSA snooping, immigration malfeasance, disjointed foreign policy, quantitative easing (print money), the Affordable Care & Patient Protection Act (Congress and staff exempt?), government expansion, a national debt of $17 trillion … the beat goes on.
What are our Congress and president actually doing for the good of the country? Both, it appears to me, spend their time on lip service, double-dealing, finger pointing and reelection. Obama, Biden, Reid, Pelosi, Boehner and McConnell … wonderful role models, eh? The other 531 outstanding Congressmen are no better.
It makes me wonder, where are the altruistic leaders — where is one? — we so profoundly need? However, take a look in the mirror … it’s we who elected this current crop of partisan incompetents. Is, as the saying goes, the enemy us?
Complaints about presidential vacations and congressional recesses while Rome burns? From where I sit these are good things. The less time Congress and the President spend in D.C., the less time they have to screw things up.
God bless America, and God bless our military.
