Fix underlying issues of schools' failure

Responding to Sandra Rutherford’s letter concerning the core curriculum standards in Idaho this year, I suggest you read “the Counterrevolutionary” in September’s issue of “The Atlantic”.
Diane Ravitch now condemns the school reform movement she helped conceive.
Addressing the underlying causes of school failure: lack of universal pre-K, huge class sizes, rampant poverty and segregation seem to be more important to evaluate than innovation and profits for private sector education scams.
