Get involved with your local schools

We all love kids and we all want the best education possible for them.
Children are our future. Our local educators work hard to give them the best education possible.
Recently there has been a lot of controversy concerning the pending Common Core curriculum and the associated federal intrusion in our schools.
Many have asked how this has happened and when? Why aren’t parents, grandparents and all concerned citizens attending our district’s monthly school board meetings?
It is easy to recognize a problem, but harder to get involved and harder yet to find workable solutions.
My hope is that everyone will take an interest in our children’s education and invest some time to get involved to help find solutions.
