Children's introduction to self defense classes offered

SANDPOINT — Sandpoint Taekwondo will be offering children ages 5-14 years-old two introductory sessions to taekwondo, karate and self-defense. Each session will teach basic self-defense skills and highlight the importance of self-discipline in a child-friendly setting.

Session No. 4 will start on Tuesday, Sept. 3, while Session No. 5 starts on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

The session fee is $49 ($2 city discount), and includes a uniform and two weeks of lessons on Tuesday and Thursday, from 3:15-4 p.m. each day. Each session will be held at Sandpoint Taekwondo, 218 Main St.
