Greyghost, Plue top derby results

SANDPOINT — Wind Greyghost and Scott Plue claimed top honors in the Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club’s annual fall derby, the club has announced.

Greyghost boated a 23.54-pound rainbow trout on Nov. 25, a catch that kept him in the top spot for the rest of the derby. Keith Moore and Jim Carothers took second and third, while Gary Beitey rounded out the top-four in the adult rainbow competition.

Plue caught a 13.38-pound lake trout to edge out other anglers in the adult Mackinaw division. Jim Carothers, Dale Greene and Jim Brewer finished in second, third and fourth, respectively.

Jordie Breeden and Elly Vanderkolk topped the Youth A and B standings, respectively.

The derby’s awards ceremony is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Bonner Mall in Ponderay.
