If it's good for goose, it's good for gander

| December 5, 2013 6:00 AM

Will somebody please explain to me why our elected officials feel that they have the right to implement laws that effect the entire country and they think that they can opt out. Case in point, Obamacare.

Our congressmen want to cram a faulty deal down our throats but they want to be exempt from it. What?! How about the government shutdown. We were out of work and didn’t get paid. Oh, but heaven forbid that they don’t get paid. I say kudos to the few and halfway honest politicians who refused to take pay during this time. Your country applauds you.

There are a lot of folks calling for firing the whole bunch and starting over. For the most part, I agree. It’s time we took our country back and held our politicians accountable for their stupid and uneducated decisions. An old adage states: “What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”
