KELLOGG — Madi Schoening scored a team-high 15 points and dished out five assists, leading a balanced effort as the Sandpoint girls downed Kellogg in a 53-31 win in nonleague girls hoops on Thursday at Kellogg High School.

Hailey Olin added nine points and seven rebounds for the Bulldogs (4-4), who evened their record on the season. Maryah Delgado shot 4 of 7 from the field for nine points to go with three assists and three rebounds, and Nikole Alamillo continues to pick up the slack down low for the injured Cassie Young, posting eight points and four rebounds.

“A solid team effort on both ends of the floor. One through 10 gave the bulldogs a convincing win at kellogg,” said Bulldogs head coach Bill Bender, lauding his team’s crisp play. “Eleven turnovers was a season low and excellent shot selection was a contributing factor in the win.”

Sandpoint, which is averaging 50 points per game on the season, hits the road to face West Valley tonight.
