Where have traditional Christmas songs gone?

Did anyone who attended last year’s Christmas program at Sagle Elementary happen to notice anything different from previous years? I noticed not one class sang “Frosty the Snowman” or “Jingle Bells”. No fa la la la las rang out. No happy little faces warned the crowd with “Silent Night”.
Maybe, not that I am a granddad, I’m one of the old-fashioned ones. To me, it just didn’t feel like a Christmas program at all. I wonder if anyone else missed the traditional Christmas songs. I now realize how special they are to me.
