Moose Madness wrestling dual tonight

While not officially part of the Moose Madness Spirit Competition, tonight’s wrestling dual between Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry will certainly serve as a kickoff to the competitive festivities between the rival North Idaho schools.

Admission to tonight’s dual is free, and there will be jars for anyone wishing to make a donation to Toys for Tots, the recipient of all the money raised by Sandpoint during the competition.

The JV action starts at 6:15 p.m. at SHS, with the varsity dual slated to start at 7 p.m.

The Badgers won last year’s dual 36-33, claiming the coveted B Cup trophy. The B Cup was engraved in 1986 by the Bonners Ferry shop class, and it has been a traveling trophy since then.
