Is the universe nothing more than a hologram?

| December 24, 2013 6:00 AM

The journal “Nature” on Dec. 10, 2013, published the findings by Japanese scientist Yoshifumi Hyakutake that help to bring together Einstein’s theory of general relativity and the theory of quantum mechanics, the two main theories describing our universe.

This has brought more scientists to the understanding that the all of everything, you and me and all of existence is simply a hologram.

More than 20 years ago I personally converted to the idea that everything is a hologram after reading the book “The Holographic Universe” by Michael Talbot. For me it’s exciting to learn that many “mainstream scientists” have been and many more are now embracing the idea that the universe is a hologram.

So what is it that is causing this holographic projection we call existence? Many of these same scientists say it is: consciousness.

For those of you familiar with the teachings of G.I. Gurdjieff, you will find many similarities with Gurdjieff’s cosmology (as described in the book “In Search of the Miraculous” by P.D. Ouspensky) and what you will read in the Michael Talbot book.

If this interests any of you, besides the Michael Talbot book, I highly recommend visiting the following websites: www.holographicuniverseworkshops.com which has five videos (over an hour each) that can be watched or downloaded and Rupert Sheldrake’s (http://www.sheldrake.org/homepage.html) Morphic Resonance Field Theory (http://www.crystalinks.com/holographic.html) which also fits in nicely with the holographic universe theory.
