Cross country skiing class on tap

SANDPOINT — If you’ve ever wanted to learn the basics of cross country skiing, Sandpoint Parks and Recreation is offering an introduction to XC Skiing course for adults and youth 12 years-old and up.

Snow dependent, the class will be held at Travers Park (2102 Pine St.) on Saturday, Jan. 11 from 5:30-7 p.m. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn the basics of equipment and technique on flat ground. Bring your own gear, or sign up at Parks and Rec for some rental gear.  

Fee for this class is $7 if you have your own equipment, or $22 if you need to rent some, with a $2 discount available to city residents.

Pre-Register for the class by Friday, Jan. 3 at Sandpoint Parks and Recreation. located at 1123 Lake St.
