One dead, another injured in confrontation

SANDPOINT — One man was killed and another was injured during a violent confrontation early Wednesday night, Sandpoint Police Chief Corey Coon said.
The identities of the two men, believed to be in their 30s, were not immediately released.
Sandpoint Police were summoned to a residence at 726 N. Sixth Avenue after receiving a report of a shooting at around 6 p.m.
No arrests were made and the status of criminal charges was unknown late Wednesday.
