Get the facts and vote 'yes'

| February 24, 2013 6:00 AM

Once again we are being asked to vote on a levy for our school district. We will hear that this not needed, that it is a larger amount than last time, and the latest is that if passed it will become permanent.

Our Idaho legislators decided long ago that this was the way to fund our children’s education. We, the voters, are faced with a levy vote every two years. These levies are necessary for our children to receive the education that they deserve. Yes, the amount of this levy is larger than before, but everything else we purchase or do cost more than it did two years ago.

Passing this levy will not allow it to become permanent. I urge you to do your research, talk to your friends and neighbors who are teachers. Attend a levy information meeting, or visit a school. Get the facts and I am sure you will join me in voting yes on March 12.
