Spayth notches another triple double for Thunder

SANDPOINT — Andrew Spayth continues to dominate in the paint, scoring 20 points to go with 14 boards and 10 blocks, as the Kootenai Thunder boys lost 68-48 to the Logos Knights recently in Mountain Christian League action.

The 6-foot-9 senior, from New York, has reached double figures in blocks twice this season, giving the Thunder a lengthy defensive force down low.

The Thunder were neck-and-neck with Logos for much of the game, trailing by just five points at halftime, before  Logos broke the game open in the fourth quarter.

Taylor Jensen tallied 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists, Shayne Jensen added seven points and four boards, Justin Puryear four points and Jason and Curtis Roop with two apiece.

The Thunder girls headed to Moscow recently to take on Logos, losing 42-15 to the Knights. Scoring for the Thunder were Taryn Osman with eight points and nine rebounds, Joyce Blair with six points and three steals, and Josie Saganski with one point.
