Chamber hosting 'employment law' workshop
SANDPOINT — Stay away from employment mistakes and start 2013 off on the right track at the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce’s January Chamber Academy with Keller “Kelly” Allen, noted employment law attorney.
Keller will present a workshop on employment law on Thursday, Jan. 17, from noon-1:30 p.m. at the Ponderay Events Center. Keller’s advice includes how to avoid lawsuits and jail, as well as better your business practices, with his important employment tips.
Have questions about the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Initiatives and recommended best practices for businesses? Kelly’s expertise will help make these initiatives and best practices clear and concise for you at this workshop. Other topics Kelly will cover are attendance requirements from the Americans with Disabilities Act, the trouble with emails and how they can send you to jail, arrest and conviction records, what is a social media policy and how the National Labor Relations Act affects you even if you are not unionized.
Kelly is an employment law expert who founded the Law Firm of Keller W. Allen, P.C., a labor and employment law firm based in Spokane, Washington. Kelly is admitted to practice in the states of Washington and Idaho, and has been in practice for 23 years. Kelly’s practice focuses on representing management in labor and employment litigation and advice matters. He represents many Fortune 500, regional and local businesses, as well as public sector entities, in his practice. Kelly has handled and tried numerous high-profile employment discrimination cases, co-authored law practice books and speaks at several employment law seminars annually.
