On Thursday, Jan. 17, the Art for Human Rights Exhibit opened at the Redtail Gallery on Oak and Sixth. On display is artwork by high school and middle school students with human rights themes.
I was very moved by the thoughts expressed, and truly amazed at the artistic quality of many of the works of art. I was inspired also to meet some of the young artists and left feeling optimistic about a future that such hands will help to shape.
The exhibit will continue for the next two weeks and be open on Mondays through Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m. I would recommend that you see it.
