Community needs to support Lost in the '50s
I was in Super 1 recently and ran into Carolyn Gleason. You know her, she has been bringing the Lost in the ’50s car show to Sandpoint for the past 25-plus years.
I asked her about the show this year and she said it went great, but that for the past three years, the show has been running financially in the hole and this year was no exception. In fact, to date, the car show is $8,000 in debt.
Now, each year, Carolyn chooses to devote inordinate amounts of time and energy to this project and we businesses and residents of Bonner and Boundary counties are very happy she does. But the fact that she is paying the loan off a little bit at a time from her personal finance is unacceptable.
I would ask that we help Carolyn eliminate this past debt by dropping your tax-deductible contribution to: Second Avenue Pizza, 215 S. Second Ave., Sandpoint ID 83864. Checks may be made out to the Lost in the ’50s car show.
