Hot weather brings fire danger

Please be aware that we had a fire break out on our land today apparently due to spontaneous combustion due to prolonged hot weather. See https://fp.auburn.edu/fire/combustion.htm reference for how that happens.
An old stump in a clearing got ignited and smoldered until there was a big hole in the ground.
From there, a root stared burning and where it exited it ignited surrounding duff. By time we got to it there, were two to three feet flames traveling uphill burning in a 20-foot diameter. Please investigate to find any source of smoke and alert your neighbors.
