Affordable Care critics need to cite sources
Recent polls show 49 percent think Obamacare is a bad idea.
Some of that dissatisfaction is ideology: the rich don’t like it, nor the insurance companies, or those who would prefer a single-payer system, or greedy doctors, or the Republican governors.
However, the real tragedy is that many of the neediest people say they don’t like it, don’t want it, and consider it an unwarranted “government intrusion” into their lives.
But in a country where millions and their children are without health insurance, somebody please tell me why Obamacare is anything but a godsend for each of us.
Better yet — let’s go beyond that — I challenge anyone to post a negative view about Obamacare along with factual proof supporting her/his argument.
The rules: proof based on the words of politicians is not acceptable — lying is a politician’s stock in trade. What is acceptable is proof based on the ACA (Obamacare Act, cite title and page number), CBO (Congressional Budget Office, give location of source to be viewed), FactCheck.Org and/or PolitiFact.Com
So, all you Obamacare naysayers, step up to the soapbox and tell us what it is you don’t like about the ACA — and don’t forget the proof!
I am eager to learn if Obamacare really is the bane of half of us or if it is just a convenient stand-in for not liking the occupant in the White House.
