Friends, family made special honor possible
I wish to thank the Women Honoring Women Committee for naming me a Woman of Wisdom for 2013.
I would also like to say thank you to all my friends and family members who sent wonderful letters of nomination for this special award. I have been employed at Sagle Elementary School for many years as well as volunteering there when my children and grandchildren attended the school at Sagle. It has been a pleasure to work as a classroom support aide to kindergarten teachers, Shannon Delewese, Teddy Darrah and currently Heidi Smith. They are special ladies. I also work every day as an office and lunch room aide. It’s great to work with all the Sagle staff, students, parents and Principal Don Moore and Marshall Mayer. They make it fun to go to work every day!
Of course, the best part of my life is my family, husband Garry, children and spouses, Laurie and Bob Simonoff and Kevin and Michele Bristow and their families.
I love being part of the lives of my grandkids, Aly and Sean Simonoff and Mikaila, Ben and Jeremiah Bristow. Going to sporting events, 4-H livestock activities and school events truly keep me young and active. We all enjoy gardening, raising animals and working together as a family. We have all been participants of the Bonner County Fair for almost 60 years. It’s truly an important part of our lives. Thank you to Sandy Ross for the great news story.
My first experience working with children was babysitting for current Sandpoint Middle School teachers Tim and Dick Ross and their sisters. It was a great start and I still love working with children every day.
Again thanks to everyone!
