SHS girls basketball holding two meetings

| March 1, 2013 6:00 AM

SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint High School girls basketball program is hosting a couple of exploratory meetings for all interested people who would like to develop a stronger girls basketball program in Sandpoint.

Anyone interested is encouraged to attend the one-hour sessions, held on Tuesday, March 5 and Wednesday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sandpoint High School library.

Topics will explore where the program is, what needs to happen to bring the sport up to competive levels and who is willing to pitch in to help this wonderful sport grow and develop.

Interested community members are encouraged to attend either session. Both will be covering the same topics and once the initial meetings are held, the parties will be contacted to continue developing a plan of action.

For any questions or for more information, contact SHS head basketball coach Bill  Bender by email at “william.bender@lposd.org,” or by calling (208) 255-9779.
