WIB offers tips on surviving, thriving

| March 2, 2013 6:00 AM

SANDPOINT — What does it take to survive, indeed thrive, as a business in the greater Sandpoint area?

The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business group will explore that topic at their luncheon next week.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, March 5, from noon-1 p.m. in the community room of the Panhandle State Bank building, 414 Church St.

March’s WIB Luncheon is a panel discussion, about surviving and thriving in Sandpoint as a business owner. The three panelists are Laurel Taylor, Taylor Parker and Sons; Deanna Harris, Sharon’s Hallmark; and Shari French, Jalapeños.

March’s WIB luncheon offers a great opportunity to ask these community business owners and leaders what they’ve learned over the years. They will discuss how to reinvent yourself and your business, as well as how to stay timely and on top of trends without letting what’s “trendy” get you off track. Glean knowledge and real experience about being successful in our community and what it takes to create a lasting business in our community.

The three panelists offer great experience in sales, service, restaurants, and retail. There is something for every business owner to learn from. Do not hesitate to attend and pick up tips and ideas that will help you plan for 2013 and beyond.

Lunch is $14 for chamber members and $17 for non-members.

To RSVP to this event, call the chamber at 263-2161 or visit www.sandpointchamber.com.
