LPOSD levy pricing seniors out of town

| March 5, 2013 6:00 AM

We are getting the same doom-and-gloom predictions from the school people like we are getting from the federal government.

Isn’t it time to face up to extras and make the parents responsible instead of the taxpayers, especially for the extracurricular activities. The levies are pricing seniors out of town. While $200 per $100,000 might not sound like much, when you are living on Social Security and it is a fixed income it is a lot.

We live here, too, but it is getting harder to own our house, because of the cost of fuel, food, and property tax. The pressure is a lot. Please vote “no” on March 12.
