LPOSD levy's cost is small price to pay
Without this levy passing, the impact is on the children of this community. Student spending in our state is among the lowest in the nation. This levy is merely replacing the current one and will only increase property taxes by as low as $1.38 or as high as $10-plus depending on your assessed property value.
This is a small price to pay to ensure that the students in our community are not subjected to overcrowded classrooms or teachers who aren’t able to give them the dedication and focus they deserve.
We are 53 percent below the state average for school tax rates in the state of Idaho. One-third less staff, no academic or athletic extracurricular activities, no technology upgrades or technology staff is just not acceptable.
Don’t let a $1-$10 increase in your taxes allow this failure to our kids. Vote “yes” on March 12.
