Progressives' utopia looks pretty dystopian

| March 17, 2013 7:00 AM

Guns don’t kill people, but cartels armed via the purveyors of “Fast and Furious” do. Supplied with 2,000 guns, thugs have killed some 300 Mexicans and border agent Brian Terry. Remember this when we’re told we must do something, anything on more gun control in order to possibly “save the life of just one child.” At the same time N.Y. Gov. Andrew Cuomo wants to pass a bill expanding late-term abortions, chanting “it’s her body, her choice” in a Castro-like rant.

Why have we sent F-16 jets and Abrams tanks to the Muslim Brotherhood-led Egyptians, but it’s deemed too dangerous to allow our own law-abiding citizenry their Second Amendment rights? How can “leaders” whip out new gun laws in a matter of days, but fail to pass a budget in 4 and 1/2 years?

Why would a president phone birth control expert Sandra Fluke to “see if she was OK,” but fail to call his head of the Department of Defense after terrorists attacked and killed  four Americans fully nine years  after the 9/11 attack began?

Why did a “leader” declare that “the Boston police acted stupidly,” but uber-leftists hailed cop-killer Christopher Dorner and claim he was “exciting to watch — like ‘Django Unchained’?”

Where will this country be in the decades ahead and how to maintain a decent society while lurching down this utopian/progressive road? If you can’t be a good example to children, at least serve as a horrible warning.
