Don't take guns into the stores

I was recently shopping in one of my favorite Sandpoint spots, Miller’s Country Store. I was minding my own business, perusing the dried fruit, when I noticed a distressing sight in the grain aisle. Two young men were shopping with big pistols strapped to their hips.
What were they thinking? Did they think the good folks that run Miller’s Country Store would mess with them? Maybe someone looking for gluten-free products could be a threat to them? I mean, this is Sandpoint, for God’s sake.
Now I know that folks have a right to bear arms … but do they have to do it in our peaceful little berg? Save all that firepower for a place you really need it … maybe Afghanistan.
