New standards take us down the wrong road

I have just found out about the new federal teaching standards about to be implemented into the Idaho state education system. As an American, I have to say I am appalled from what I have found out. The new standards are call the “Common Core.”
If theses standards are implemented our history will be changed forever, math standards will be reduced, and perhaps, the most appalling thing is, that communism, and socialism will be taught to our kids as the preferred government over capitalism. No longer will our school system teach about our country and individual rights, but rather the benefits of the collective.
I want to make this implementation of the “Common Core” teaching standards known to the people of this wonderful state of Idaho and how detrimental it is to our kids and life as an American.
If implemented, it will affect not only our public school curriculum, but private and home schooled curriculum as well. If you care about your kid’s future in our free country contact your state representatives/senators and voice your concerns and disagreement with the new federal teaching standards called the “Common Core.”
